I would really like to see the candidates take the moral test than see their results, and compare them to my own. To me the most most important thing is honesty, and a lot of these candidates weren’t answering questions honestly. I think only 2 answered the weakness question honestly. I highly value honesty, and the ability to self-reflect, and none of those candidates respected the question for what it was asking. To be able to stand in front of an audience of millions and admit your weaknesses takes a lot, including courage, honesty, faith, confidence, and the ability to objectively view yourself, all of which are strong characteristics of a good leader. I think if any of the candidates could have honestly and openly answered the weakness question it would have said a lot about their character and emotionally would have helped their campaign.
I felt like the candidates valued authority and purity the most. I don’t know if this is the best combination because it can escalate into some heated situations. The problems would be that if you have authority and purity always butting heads then it’ll become using authority to make others pure, or using one’s purity as a symbol of authority. This could quickly lead to too much power within the government. I think there’s value of each of the moral foundations, but certain combinations are also deadlier than others.
