FINACE: STUDENT LOANS
This is my name tag from the exhibition.
During our finance unit, we studied credit cards, taxes, and student loans. For the exhibition we chose one to focus on. I chose student loans, because I feel that it's most relevant to me right now in my life. For a few weeks before our final exhibition, we learned more about our financial focus. At the exhibition, people came up to us with a scenario and asked us questions about the topic we chose. We would explain what all the numbers meant and how you got them. Finding out how much interest accumulates for borrowing student loans for college was shocking. We went into town and did surveys, and it was amazing the number of people who still haven't paid their student loans off.
Linear Regression Project: Dog Distances and Treat Times
The linear regression project required us to do an experiment and collect data. You could use one of the suggested experiment ideas or come up with your own, which is what I did. After you had collected data we made scatter plots of that data in excel, on the TI-84 plus graphing calculator, and a hand-made graph. After making scatter plots of the data you found the linear regression, which was the a line of best fit. The final project was a collection of all the graphs and a data table, and a procedure and conclusions.
