SLC Reflection:
Student Led Conferences were a lot different than I thought they would be. I was surprised at how little my parents interrupted and how few a questions they asked. It was harder than one would think to talk to your own parents, but easier than I was thinking it would be when we were practicing that morning. I was very organized for it and I had no trouble finding the right evidence or notecard while I was presenting. I didn't realize before how much it helps to keep a lot of examples of work. I used posters or writing that I hadn't particularly thought much of before SLC's. I often tell my parents about things like tests and all about the projects we're doing, but I haven't shown them anything or sat down and talked. I have only told them things if I was excited about what happened during my day and such. I do feel like I have more ownership over my education at Animas than I felt I did at Miller Middle. Animas is really working for me so far.
